Fort Howard Community Association has received several inquiries from residents if the recent Water Main Replacement Project and Road Repaving in Fort Howard, Maryland was in some way related to the veterans hospital.

It has been confirmed through a Freedom of Information Act request to the United Stated Department of Veterans Affairs No record exists of VA requesting any Official of the Baltimore County Government to upgrade any infrastructure within the Fort Howard Community.

Dear Ms. Labuda,

Please consider this your official Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) response to your request below dated December 7, 2017 in which you requested “copies of any and all request from the VA to any Official in the Baltimore County Government requesting an upgrade to the infrastructure within the Fort Howard Community.” No record exists of VA requesting any Official of the Baltimore County Government to upgrade any infrastructure within the Fort Howard Community.

Thank you all for your concern questioning the VA’s involvement in this Fort Howard community capital project.

We very much thank and give rightful credit to engineer Mr. Steve Emm of Baltimore County Department of Public works for his continual project over-site and his great design for this project, the persistence and patience of our residents, and the association’s advocacy  and leadership moving it forward.

For more information call 410-477-2040 or email [email protected] and please attend and comment  at the MDE    hearing 7 PM Thursday night (4/19/2018) at the volunteer fire-hall in Edgemere for Access World’s Sparrows Point, Maryland break-bulk terminal grinding and pulverizing operations.

The dust complaints will be addressed with the request for Air Particulate Monitoring Stations in Fort Howard and at the schools.
