Neighbor Space of Baltimore County, the 7  District Civic Council  of Baltimore County,  the Towson Community Alliance, the Preservation Alliance of Baltimore County, the Fort  Howard Community Association, Baltimore Climate Change,  and several other prominent organizations were in full force testifying FOR Bill 37-19 to remove  loopholes in the OPEN SPACE requirements during the Baltimore county Council Work Session yesterday, August 27, 2019, and AGAINST incentivizing  concrete over community benefit, politics over preservation and profit for a few over the health and sustainability of all residents.

These loopholes permit  developers to use unsuitable land  as part of the lawfully required 1000 square feet of OPEN SPACE for every house built.

Make our our health, quality of life, and home values the top priority to ensure  neighborhood  livability and a  strong tax base  for smooth roads, great schools, and adequate police/fire protection.
