As stated on the the February 1, 2017 District 7 community update page Baltimore County, FHCA is very pleased to report the “replacing 8,000 feet of water line in the Fort Howard area this year. Cast iron water lines on Todd Avenue, Howard Avenue, Blank Avenue, Fort Avenue, North Point Road, Old Bay Road, Chestnut Avenue, Bayside Avenue and Oak Avenue will be replaced beginning in March. The project will take between 12 and 15 months to complete. Water lines in the Fort Howard area have been prone to failure in recent years. This $2.2 million project should correct that problem.”
FHCA had reported on the occurrence of multiple simultaneous water main breaks through out Fort Howard resulting in the flooding of Fort Howard homes, yards, and roads in 2015 and 2016.

Working closely with FHCA to bring this project to fruition is invaluable Baltimore County Project Engineer Mr. Steve Emm who very kindly addressed the issue during the fall 2016 Fort Howard Community Association meeting at the Lodge #4 Odd Fellows hall. Thank you Mr. Emm.
The construction will be on one road at at time. The following slideshow illustrates the process.
