DECEMBER 17, 2015 marks the date of the passing of Harry Wujek, Jr. Mr. Wujek was a decades long Millers Island resident and community activist of the North Point Peninsula as president of the community and waterman’s association. Mr. Wujek served on the Hart-Miller Island Citizen Advisory Committee and many other community panels. In addition to numerous other projects during his years of community service, one of the most beautiful community entrance signs in Maryland, the North Point Peninsula Monument, was constructed, a flag pole was erected at the Fort Howard Post Office, and over-development on the peninsula had been staved off, including at the Fort Howard VA Hospital. By any measure Mr. Wujek was a gentleman and model citizen volunteer.
ON behalf of the entire community of Fort Howard, FHCA extends their most sincere condolences to the Wujek family for their loss and prays God bless Mr. Wujek’s eternal soul as he has touched many of ours.
