The Heritage Society of Essex Middle River invited FHCA members to their Christmas Season museum open house last night.
Only 15 minutes from Fort Howard, the museum offers visitors displays and wonderful live history recounts of Essex and Middle River, Maryland from the staff.
Open for regular tours on Saturdays from 10-2 p.m. Special requested tours can be made by calling museum curator June Donovan at 410-574-6934, located at 516 Eastern Blvd, Essex, Maryland 21221 across from the East county Times.
Visit the website (link above) and Facebook for more information on upcoming events, tours, and how to “Live the Legacy”.
A Short History Of Essex-Middle River by George Martinak.
Long time museum volunteer photo-bug Ron and not so “photo-buggy,” treasurer Randy, pictured above, were on hand last night giving tours and serving hot chocolate to the kids and coffee to moms and dads. Thanks R & R.
And Merry Christmas to All on the other side of the River.
